Baby Hats, Baby Hats, Baby Hats

Here are the three hats I knit for a friend of mine who is pregnant with a little girl. I got all these hats from one skein of Panda Silk! I found the patterns for these hats on Ravelry, and they were all free!

AllHisKids' Longies - Finished

So here are the longies finally completed. I had to rip them out & start completely over after getting halfway through the first leg. I'm really pleased with the way these turned out. This is my first pair of striped longies. They're cute! I did run out of black yarn three rows from the end. I had to substitute yarn that doesn't exactly match. But the picture is much worse than real life. It's not that noticeable of a difference in natural lighting.

AllHisKids' Longies - Day 4

Well, folks. Here they are. Almost at the gusset. I had to frog the entire project because I just wasn't happy with them. But it turned out to be the best thing to do b/c I learned a way to do short rows that is almost invisible! Yay! So this is what I've done so far today. The picture is kinda crappy & don't show the colors well. But none the less, this is how far I've gotten.

Weekend Dyeing

I decided to try out my new acid dyes from Jacquard. Here's the first skein I dyed up. A tribute to the Swedish Flag if you will.

My New Swift

So I saw the instructions for this swift online & sent it to the hubs. He agreed to make it for me. So yesterday he went to the store & got the necessary parts. And this afternoon, in about an hour, I had a new swift!
